Switching arrangement for load change-over switches of step switches and for selector switches

The switching device uses 2 switching contacts, movable in 2 directions, the main switching contact coupled to the load connection via a vacuum switch cell and the second resistance switching contact coupled to the load connection via a second vacuum switch cell in series with a transition resistor. Both switching contacts can be moved independently without any interaction between them, the main switch contact always reaching the new fixed contact abruptly, independent of the switching direction, before the resistance switching contact leaves the previous fixed contact.
