PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a power amplifier used in a telecommunication device is provided to control several power amplifiers by using one power amplifier control section. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a power amplifier(230) used in a telecommunication device comprises a control section which generates a control signal for controlling the power amplifier(230). The control section also selects a frequency band adapted for the telecommunication environment and generates a selecting signal thereof. An amplifier selecting section(220) is provided to select the amplifier according to the outputted selecting signal. A power amplifier control signal amplifying section(210) is provided to adjust the amplifying degree of the outputted control signal.
