REGULATION OF RECORDING POSITIONAL SHIFT OF PRINT HEAD UNIT USING HEAD IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image quality by lessening recording positional shift of dot in the main scanning direction while taking account of the characteristics of a print head at the time of printing. SOLUTION: A print head unit is provided readably with head identification information which is set depending on the characteristics concerning to the positional shift in the main scanning direction of a dot being formed by means of a print head. A regulation value for reducing the recording positional shift in the main scanning direction is determined according to the head identification information and used for regulating the recording positional in the main scanning direction.
