PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain and protect an occupant by putting a pretensioner of a seat belt in action in the case of the occurrence of side slip of a vehicle body, the slip of driving wheels, and the like during travel. SOLUTION: This occupant restraining protective system is provided with wheel speed sensors 3 for detecting the wheel speed of each wheel; side slip detecting sensors 4, 6, 7 for detecting the side slip of a vehicle body; a control part 20 receiving detection signals from the wheel speed sensors 3 and/or side slip detecting sensors 4, 6, 7 to detect the side slip of the vehicle body and to output a signal for putting an actuator 31 in action during the side slip action of the vehicle body; and a pretensioner 30 having the actuator 31 and pulling in a seat belt B by the specified amount by the action thereof. |
