PURPOSE: A food waste heated-air dryer dries moisture contained in food waste up to 70% - 80% to reduce time for drying and mixing processes in the feed or composting process. CONSTITUTION: A dryer(1) comprises a main body(2), screws(4) and ducts(20, 30). The main body(2) has a shaft(14) installed inside a case(10) of cylindrical form packed with a heat insulator(13) between an inner and an outer wall(11, 12) thereof, multiple baskets(18) installed on the periphery of the shaft(14) and rotated by a driving motor(40) connected with one side of the shaft(14) by a chain(50). The screws(4) comprises a supplying screw with a hopper installed to an inlet of the main body(2) and a discharging screw(4) installed to the lower part of an outlet of the main body(2). The ducts(20, 30) comprises a heat supplying duct(20) installed to one side of the main body(2) to communicate with and a discharging duct(30) to the other side of the main body(2). As food waste thrown in throw by the supplying screw is mixed and moved to the discharging screw(4) by the baskets(18), heated air flowing in from the heat supplying duct(20) contacts with the food waste to vaporize moisture contained in the food waste and is exhausted off through the discharging duct(30).
