VACUUMS FLUORESCENT DISPLAY WITH BUILT-IN-TYPE COVER GLASS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A vacuums fluorescent display is provided to be capable of increasing a visual field by minimizing the height of the fluorescent display tube. CONSTITUTION: A vacuums fluorescent display(VFD) has a rear substrate(2) and a built-in-type cover glass(4) attached with the rear substrate(2) to form a closed space. An exhaust tube(16) is assembled on an anode glass(4). A wire layer(6), an insulation layer(8), an anode electrode(10), a filament(12) and a grid electrode are formed on the rear substrate(2). The wire layer(6) is used to connect the interior of the fluorescent display tube, and the insulation layer(8) blocks an electric conduction of the wire except for a conduction hole. The anode electrode(10) emits light by hot electrons and consists of a fluorescent layer(10a) and a conduction layer(10b). The filament(12) is supplied with an external power to emit hot electrons. The grid electrode(14) accelerates and diffuses the hot electrodes to the anode electrode(10) or blocks the hot electrodes.
