PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively provide a hybrid selector of a space and a spectrum, where inner loss is less and whose output noise is small, and an optical switching matrix comprising the selector. SOLUTION: A guide means KNM decides plural paths between input ports A1 and A2 receiving light waves and at least one output port E with respect to the light wave having various wavelengths. The guide means comprises a spectrum separation system MU allocating several paths to the light wave in accordance with the wavelength. Light gates G1, G2, H1 and H2 are arranged in the paths. The light wave arriving at an output port through the opened gate is selected by the light gate in accordance with an input port receiving the light wave and the wavelength of the light wave. |
