<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to record a desired program starting from the beginning to the end, even when a program broadcast schedule is temporarily revised while video recording has already been started, depending on contents of a reserved video recording setting having already been registered. SOLUTION: For example, a program broadcast time is extended, a broadcast station transmits program schedule revision information, denoting a revision of program broadcast schedule due to this extension. When a VTR receives and detects the program schedule revision information during the operation reserved for video recording, the VTR stops the recording and rewinds a tape. The VTR restarts video recording, in matching with the revised broadcast start time and completes the video recording at the revised broadcast end time. That is, the VTR automatically revises the reserved video recording, so that the program to be recorded can properly be recorded according to the reserved video recording setting registered in advance by the user and along the revised broadcast start and end times.</p> |
