PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glycerylether simply and effectively, and without using a solvent. SOLUTION: This method for producing a glycerylether (3) (R is a 4-20C linear or branched alkyl group of which part or whole of hydrogen atoms are allowed to be substituted with fluorine atoms, or its alkyleneoxide adduct) is provided by reacting glycidylether of formula (1) (R is the same as above) with carbon dioxide to form glycerylether carbonate (2) and then hydrolyzing.
