PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbable and desorbable interior decorative material having moisture absorbable and desorbable properties and suppressed in the discoloration caused by heat or ultraviolet rays and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: In the moisture absorbable and desorbable interior decorative material having a resin layer comprising either one of an acrylic resin and a polyolefinic resin or a mixed system of both resins containing activated clay and an alkaline additive, the alkaline additive contains 2-amino-2-methyl-1- propanol.
