PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developable photographic sensitive material for the production of a printing plate having high sensitivity and high density, suppressed fog, excellent preservability, suppressed rise of fog with the lapse of time, ultrahigh contrast and excellent dot reproducibility. SOLUTION: The heat developable photographic sensitive material contains photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent, a contrast enhancer and a compound of formula 1 or 2. In the formulae 1 and 2, R1 and R2 are each alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy or the like, n1 is a positive integer of >=1 and n2 is a positive integer of >=3.
