PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium reproducing device to be made more compact, capable of reducing the number of part items, and accurately positioning a disk carried into the device in a reproducing position. SOLUTION: A positioning means 5 for carrying a recording medium inserted through an insertion port 11 onto a reproducing mechanism and then positioning the recording medium in predetermined position on the reproducing mechanism of the device is provided inside the device so as to be moved around one end, and the positioning means 5 is provided with a first positioning part 52 for positioning the recording medium of a first diameter, and a second positioning part 53 for positioning the recording medium of a second diameter larger than the first.
