PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a van type truck easily attachable to a loading box, having sturdy loading box flip-up device. SOLUTION: This van type truck is provided with a first arm 6 having one end pivoted to a portal column 1b, a second arm 8 having one end pivoted to the other end of the first arm 6, a shaft 9 horizontally extending from the portal column 1b to the loading box door 2 and having its one side fixed to the other end of the second arm 8, a sleeve 10 fixed to the other side of the shaft 9 and journalled on a loading box door 2,a rod 15 having one end pivotally supported to the sleeve 10, one spring support member 17 supported by the other end of the rod 15, other spring support member 18 pivoted on the loading box door 2 and opposed to the one spring support member 17, and a spring 19 compressed and interposed between the one and the other spring support members 17, 18, rotationally moving with the rod 15 in opening/closing the loading box door, and actuating the energizing force between the portal column 1b and the loading box door 2; and the loading box door 2 is flipped up by itself by the reaction of the spring force of the spring 19 acting on the portal column 1b.
