<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing device capable of effectively preventing lubrication malfunction of a sprocket. SOLUTION: The sprocket 3 is turned by a timing chain 10, while a housing member (first rotational body) 4 is turned together with the sprocket 3. A vane member 15 (second rotational body) 15 turned together with a camshaft 1 is housed in the housing member 4. A plurality of spirally projecting vanes 18 are arranged on the vane member 15, for determining a plurality of hydraulic oil chambers 19, 20 inside the housing member 4. The hydraulic oil chambers 19, 20 are, namely, formed between the first and second rotational bodies 19, 20. A hydraulic pressure intake/exhaust means 66 is arranged for supplying and discharging the hydraulic oil in respect to the operation oil chambers 19, 20. The housing member 4 is formed of sintered metal on the sprocket 3 and a portion where the sprocket 3 is arranged.</p> |
