PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely eliminate a curl in an image recording carrier by means of a simple structure without any influence of a conveying speed and the like. SOLUTION: A curl eliminating device 10 is provided with a heating means 40 heating an image recording carrier web 12 at a constant temperature above a glass transition temperature of a support for a fixed time and a cooling means 42 cooling the heated image recording carrier web 12 below the glass transition temperature while maintaining the web 12 in a predetermined shape. The heating means 40 is provided with a heating roller 60 heated by induction heating and holding rollers 70a, 70b arranged in optional angular positions to the outer circumference of the heating roller 60.
