PURPOSE: A method for managing receiving data in facsimile is provided not to limit an activation region of a user by allowing the user to receiving fax data to which a normal printing work is finished at a remote facsimile machine. CONSTITUTION: A method for managing receiving data in facsimile determines whether a ring signal is received(S1). If the ring signal is received, it is determined whether currently received fax data exist or a polling transmit function is set(S2). If there is no any received fax data and the polling transmit function is not set, a receiving process for the fax data transmitted from the transmit side facsimile machine and the fax data is stored at the same time(S3) and receiving list data for the received fax data are stored(S4). After the polling transmit task for the received fax data is set, the facsimile waits(S5). If there exist the received fax data and the polling transmit function is set, it is determined whether a transmit request for the stored fax data from the remote facsimile machine is received(S6). If the transmit request is not received, a receiving task of the fax data is performed. If the transmit request is received, the stored fax data are transmitted to the remote facsimile(S7).
