PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminals 5-9 of a communication network 1 connected to a network terminator 3 of a subscriber. SOLUTION: Each of communication terminals 5-9 is provided with an interface (10-13) with respect to a private power line 14 of the subscriber and addressable by individual identification signals. Each of the communication terminals 5-9 includes a means (23-27) that generates and detects a control signal to be transferred via the private power line 14. The communication terminals 5-9 can set up a call to other communication terminals 5-9 connected to the network terminator 3 of the subscriber.
