PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height adjustable label holding body capable of easily exchanging labels whose sizes are mutually different. SOLUTION: A label holding body D for holding a commodity display label L is constituted of an upper member 5 having an upper cover part 6 for holding the upper edge part of a commodity display label L and a facing-down back part 7 and a lower member 8 having a lower cover part 9 for holding the lower edge part of the commodity display label L and a facing-up back part 10. In this case, either the facing-down back part 7 or the facing-up back part 10 is constituted as the outer back part 10 and the other is constituted as the inner back part 7. Also, the outer back part 10 is provided with plural groove parts 18 arranged in a long hole 17 formed in a vertical direction and introducing holes 19, and a core 21 having a restraint part 20 to be put through through-holes 22 arranged at the inside back part 7 and the introducing holes 19 of the outer back part 10 and to allowed to slide along the long hole 17 so as to be restrained with the groove part 18 is arranged at the inside of the inner back part 7. Then, the right and left edge parts of the commodity display label L are inserted between the right and left edge parts of the inner back part 7 and the right and left edge parts of the core 21 or the right and left edge parts of the outer back part 10.
