PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the volume of humidifying water supplied from the outside by reducing the volume of water discharged to that outside of fuel cell equipped with solid polymer electrolytic film SOLUTION: An electrode for use in a fuel battery retains a catalyst layer 3A deposited on a gas diffusion layer 3B. The electrode is characterized by such a structure that, at least at the area of catalyst layer 3A side of the gas diffusion layer 3B, the surface of framing material 30, which composes the gas diffusion layer 3B, is coated by coating layer 10 made of ion exchange resin. |
