Drive force control/regulation device for hybrid vehicle controls electric drive motor dependent on torque variations of IC engine

The drive force control device has a detector (25) for detecting the variations in the torque delivered by the IC engine (E), converted into a corresponding engine output variation signal and a residual charge detector (22) detecting the residual charge of the battery (21), for comparison with a reference value, with a control/regulation device allowing operation of the electric drive motor (13) in dependence on the engine output variation signal when the battery residual charge is above the reference value and the exhaust catalyzer (31) is at its operating temperature.
