<p>The invention concerns a joint consisting of a flexible wall (3) fixed on the top circumference of a floating cover (2) delimiting a deformable gap (7) filled with spherical beads (5) floating on the stored liquid level (8). The flexible wall is supported on the tank outer shell (1) by buoyancy exerted on the immersed spherical beads (5). Said flexible wall is weighted along the lower circumference with ballast (6). Since the gap (7) which is self-deformed by the action of the spherical beads (5) is delimited at its lower part by a permeable flexible wall (9), the stored liquid which has partially penetrated into the gap (7) is self-evacuated when the tank is completely emptied to be degassed. Since the spherical beads (5) preferably made from hydrocarbon-resistant polyethylene roll over one another the floating cover cannot be blocked during its movements resulting from its being filled with or emptied of its stored liquid. The joint arrangements are particularly designed for equipping tanks for storing oil products.</p> |
