PURPOSE:To obtain tastier cooked rice by adding glutinous rice coated with agar to ordinary non-glutinous rice and boiling the mixed rice. CONSTITUTION:Glutinous rice is washed with water and water is drained therefrom and heated and the surface of glutinous rice is gelatinized by heating and cooled and the glutinous rice is covered with agar powder and dried to provide glutinous rice coated with agar. Thereby, taste of glutinous rice is blended with smoothness of agar and cooked rice containing the agar-coated glutinous rice has original taste. |
