PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof material for substrate to be used at an intersection of a perpendicular surface with a horizontal surface of a building. SOLUTION: The waterproof material for the substrate comprises a rectangular parallelepiped transverse sheet-like part 10, a rectangular parallelepiped suspended sheet-like part 11 continuous to sides 10a and 10b of the transverse sheet-like part 10, a rectangular parallelepiped longitudinal sheet-like part 12 continuous to a suspended side 11d of the suspended side 11d of the suspended sheet-like part 11, a rectangular parallelepiped riser sheet-like part 13 which is continuous to the side 10d of the transverse sheet-like part 10 and same as or larger than in projecting width the longitudinal sheet-like part 12, and a returned sheet-like part 14 which is continuous to the riser sheet-like part 13 at a side part 14a', and surrounded by a side 14a, sides 14b and 14c, sides 14d and 14e, sides 14f and 14g which are bent from the sides 14d and 14e and provided with a gap substantially same as or smaller than the projecting width of the riser sheet-like part 13 from the side 14a, and a side 14h.
