PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a convenient, simple and inexpensive dishwasher which prevents leaking of washing water and steam by securing blocking property between a washing tub and a cover part by the closing operation of a door in the dishwasher for washing dishes by jetting the washing water toward the dishes from a washing nozzle. SOLUTION: The washing tub 14 having an opening part 27 on its upper side is supported by an outer box 1 in a state of being movable forward and backward, and the cover part 18 is supported by this box 1 in the state of being movable forward/backward and upward/downward. By pressing of the several places of the part 18 backward by the tub 14 at the time of housing it, the part 18 is lowered to block the part 27 of the tub 14.
