PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve inconvenience incapable of smoothly carrying out digging and harvesting operation and increasing operation efficiency according to growing state of onion in field, because arrangement and constitution of a traveling device, a leaf and stem-raising device, digging blade, etc., for digging onion are not reasonable in a conventional harvester. SOLUTION: In this onion harvester, a leaf and stem-raising device 3 having a digging blade provided down in front so that the front end is located in lower direction than the rear end and a lug rotating together with a regulating ring located on the front extending line of a traveling device 1 in the lateral direction at acting starting end side, linearly moving up in rear and carrying out raising action are provided in front of the traveling device provided at intervals in lateral direction and a ground tilt angle formed by extending linear movement of the lug is made larger than a ground tilt angle of the digging blade when viewed from the side of the machine body and a leaf and stem cutter 4 for cutting leaf and stem of onion is provided at higher position than the digging blade and a starting end part of lug carrying out raising action of leaf and stem and a leaf stem conveyer 5 for conveying cut leaf and stem part cut by the leaf and stem cutter 4 to the side of a machine body is provided.
