PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily release holding of a friction holding system and to exact shifting operation of a continuously variable transmission with a shift lever, in a traveling shift system for a working vehicle having the shift lever shifting the continuously variable transmission for traveling and the friction holding system holding the shift lever at a required shifting position. SOLUTION: This traveling shift system is provided with a friction holding system which holds a shift lever 26 at a required shifting position in a shifting path 38 with friction force. The shift lever 26 is made to operate in a first lateral direction A1 intersecting the shifting path 38 and a second direction A2 opposite to the first direction A1. When the shift lever 26 is operated in the first direction A1, holding of the friction holding system is released, and when the shift lever 28 is operated in the second direction A2, the holding of the friction holding system is returned.
