PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink including encapsulated pigment prepared by coating organic pigments or carbon black with an organic polymers and shows improved image concentration of the formed image and improved ink color development. SOLUTION: In an ink including the organic pigments or carbon black encapsulated with an organic polymer in an aqueous medium, the content of the organic polymer in the encapsulated pigment or carbon black is >=20 wt.% based on the organic pigment and carbon black and at least one kind of salt is included that is selected from (M1)2SO4, CH3COO(M1), Ph-COO(M1), (M1)NO3, (M1)Cl, (M1)Br, (M1)I, (M1)2SO3 and (M1)2CO3 (M1 represents an alkali metal, ammonium or organic ammonium, Ph represents phenyl). |
