PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having a specific peroxy ester group and a decomposition temperature suitable for polymerization of a vinyl monomer, capable of rapidly imparting a high molecular weight polymer from the beginning of polymerization, useful for crosslinking or the like of a resin. SOLUTION: The compound is expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are each R'CO (R' is a 1-10C alkyl, phenyl or the like) or H; R is a 1-10C alkylene; X is a -(CH2)2-, -C≡C- or the like; n is an average of 2-2,000; m is an average of 1-50], for example, a compound of formula II or the like. The compound is obtained by reacting a polydimethylsiloxane compound having carboxylic acid chlorides on both ends with a compound having tertiary hydroperoxy groups on both ends (for example, 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-dihydroperoxyhexane or the like or and a compound having mono carboxylic acid chloride, for example, in the presence of an alkali catalyst such as potassium hydroxide or the like, at 0-30 deg.C, for 0.1-3 hours.
