PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool rest unit changing mechanism for a sheet material allowing removing only a cassette type tool rest unit from a slide base installed for slide on a frame when a cutter for cutting sheet installed on the tool rest is damaged or is to be changed to a cutter suitable for the type of a sheet to be cut, and easily changing to a new tool rest unit or a tool rest unit having the cutter suitable for the type of the sheet to be cut. SOLUTION: A slide base 13 traveling for slide on a frame 1, and a tool rest unit 20 detachably installed on the slide base 1 are provided. The tool rest unit 20 has two rotary cutters cutting a sheet material, and a tilting roller tilting one of the rotary cutters, and coming in contact with the other cutter, a locking pawl 40 which is installed on the tool rest unit 20 for swing, and engages with the slide base 13, and locking levers 35a, 35b having pressing parts 38a, 38b releasing the engaging of the locking pawl 40 with the slide base 13.
