PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel in which lowering of adhesive strength of a sealant is difficult to occur even if the sealant with a thinned width is put on the black matrix(BM). SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is provided with a common electrode glass substrate 1 and a counter electrode glass substrate 6 tightly adhered with a sealant 3 in a mutually confronted state, and a liquid crystal is filled in regions partitioned with the sealant 3 between the both substrates. A BM7 formed with a structure of two or more layers and with a difference in level structure formed on the uppermost layer is provided on the common electrode glass substrate 1. The uppermost layer of the BM7 is constructed so as to tightly adhere to the sealant 3.
