PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single axis eccentric screw pump capable of detecting an idle operation with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This screw pump is formed so that a temperature detection sensor 3 detecting the temperature of a stator 1 is installed by closely inserting it into an installation hole 2 (non-through hole) formed in the stator 1. First idle operation judgment means 6A receives signals from the temperature detection sensor 3 and, when the temperature of the stator 1 exceeds a set temperature, judges to be idle operation. Second idle operation judgment means 2B receives signals from the temperature detection sensor 3 and, when the gradient of temperature rise of the stator 1 exceeds a set temperature gradient, decides on idle operation.
