PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which the peak value of current consumption is suppressed. SOLUTION: For example, at the time of reproducing information of a disk 600, a spindle motor driving section 100 controls a spindle motor 110 conforming to a control section 320 so that the disk 600 is rotated with the prescribed number of rotation. A thread motor driving section 200 starts rough seek operation by a thread motor 210 conforming to the control section 320 to move an optical head 310 to a desired position. During this rough seek operation, the control section 320 indicates so that supplying a drive current to the spindle motor 110 is stopped. After finish of rough seek operation, stopping to supply a drive current to the spindle motor 110 is released.
