PURPOSE: Provided is a novel composition which is easily used for treating thrombosis of a patient suffering from stomach diseases, allergies or respiratory diseases without side-effects. CONSTITUTION: The composition for treating thrombosis contains stilbene derivatives represented by formula (1) as an active ingredient, in which R1 is hydrogen or hydroxy, R2 is hydrogen or C1 to C6 alkyl, R1 and R2 are not hydrogen at the same time, and R1 is preferably hydrogen or hydroxy and R2 is preferably methyl. The stilbene derivatives are extracted from Rheum undulatum, and obtained by extracting Rheum undulatum with hot water, and purifying the extract by Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and silica gel column chromatography.
