Diesel vehicle has a light unit (LE) that displays the state of readiness of the glow plugs by changing its display according to glow plug state. Thus the display may be step type changing from a first step to a final step the lighting up of the last step indicating the engine can be started. Alternately a red, orange and green display can be used, with green indicating the engine can be started.
