PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a motor with a cooling fan, by constituting the fan of an impeller section which is attached to the front end of a narrow connecting section extended from a fixing section, and positioning the impeller section on the outside of a bearing which rotatably journals a shaft. SOLUTION: A fan 31 is constituted of a narrow connecting section 52 which is extended from a fixing section 51 which fixes a rotor 23 to a shaft 23 and an impeller section 53 attached to the front end of the connecting section 52. Consequently, the shaft 23 becomes longer by the width of the connecting section 52 extended from the fixing section 51. Therefore, the size of a motor 1 does not increase even when the motor 1 is equipped with the fan 31. In addition, the impeller section 53 is extended in the direction corresponding to the rotor 22. In other words, the impeller section 53 is extended toward an air outlet 32. Therefore, the outside air introduced through an air inlet is surely discharged from the air outlet 32.
