The method involves identifying a mobile station (2) belonging to a base station (1), having a first, low-energy mode, in which the base station emits periodically, and the mobile station receives synchronous to the same clock, and checks, whether a base station signal is received. The mobile station extends the duration of the reception synchronous to the clock, and exchanges signal data with the base station in a second, high-energy mode. The mobile station produces preferably a wake-up signal in the second mode, switches an evaluation unit into an active state, and emits a preferably non-modulated request signal. |
