Intestinal suture is put in on the colostoma mouth edges. Polyvinyl chloride sleeve is put-on over suturing apparatus. Rod with connection rings is brought through apparatus spool. Proximal ring is introduced into the end colostoma lumen. Purse-string suture is tightened. The rings are brought together and joined with clamps to each other. Sleeve edge is sewn to the end colostoma edge. The apparatus is removed from the sleeve. EFFECT: prevented cutting penetration of suture around the end colostoma. 2 dwg
