PURPOSE: An optical processor having a booster output is provided to amplify an optical signal and perform a communication function and a calculation function using the optical signal without executing an electronic intermediate process. CONSTITUTION: An optical processor is formed with the first waveguides(1,1'), the first electrodes(6,6'), and a couple of nonlinear circular resonator(2,2'). Each directional coupler(10,10') is used for coupling the first waveguides(1,1') with each NCR(2,2'). The directional couplers(10,10') are controlled by the first electrodes(6,6') formed in each optical coupling location between the first waveguides(1,1') and the NCRs(2,2'). The NCR(2) has the first semiconductor lasers(5A,5B). The NCRs(2,2') are operated by varying the second electrodes(13). An optical mixer(8) is arranged in the NCR(2). An optical transistor(7) is located between the NCR couples(2,2'). The optical transistor(7) includes the second waveguide(9), the second semiconductor lasers(5E,5F), the third electrodes(11) and a couple of mirror(12,12').
