PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a program from program recording media by recording continuous program information over multiple volumes and controlling the reproducing operation of the program information recorded in the volumes according to recorded volume group management information for managing the program information over the respective volumes. SOLUTION: A system CPU part 50 obtains the final address of a tile search pointer table from title search pointer table information and also obtains the video title set number, etc., corresponding to an input number from the title search pointer corresponding to the input number from a key operation/display part 4. When there is only one title set, one title search pointer is searched to obtain the start address of its title set. The system CPU part 50 obtains a target title set from the start address of this title set.
