PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute compaction of an optical integrating device, by forming by fixing an optical fiber capable of propagating a light signal, on the surface of an optical waveguide. SOLUTION: This optical integrating device 10 is so composed that an optical waveguide 14 formed by being equipped with a waveguide core 12 and clad layers 13 on a substrate 11 is formed integrally, and that an optical wiring fiber 15 capable of propagating a light signal is fixed on the surface of the optical waveguide 14. As optical connection between optical parts themselves or between an optical circuit and the optical parts can be executed with a small radius of curvature by using the optical wiring fiber 15, this optical integrating device 10 can be made compact and the optical connection can be executed with a small transmission loss. By fixing the optical wiring fiber 15 on the surface of the optical waveguide 14 by using an ultraviolet-ray hardening adhesive 20, the optical wiring fiber 15 can be fixed easily after the optical parts or electronic parts are installed on the optical waveguide 14, therefore, this optical integrating device 10 can be manufactured inexpensively. |
