FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITE NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite nonwoven fabric having both tenacity in the machine direction and flame retardance. SOLUTION: This composite nonwoven fabric is obtained by laminating a staple nonwoven fabric having flame retardance to at least one side of a filament nonwoven fabric composed of a polyester polymer containing >=500 ppm phosphorus atom. The filament nonwoven fabric has a great number of partial heat contact bonding regions and a constituent filament is substantially oriented in the length direction in a not partially heat contact bonding region. The staple nonwoven fabric retains a shape by mutual interlacing of a constituent staple. The filament and the staple are mutually interlaced and integrated as a whole on the laminated faces of the filament nonwoven fabric and the staple nonwoven fabric.
