PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner of a favorable usability by facilitating the connection of the cleaner body having an air suction path and a discharged air circulating path, and a hose. SOLUTION: Under a state wherein a connection pipe 35 is connected to a connection port 23, an air suction path, which is formed in the connection pipe 35, and a dust collecting chamber 30, which is the air suction path of a cleaner body 22, communicate with each other. Also, an air discharging path, which is formed in the connection pipe 35, and an air discharging pipe 32, which is formed in the cleaner body 22, communicate with each other. In such an electric vacuum cleaner, on the outer peripheral surface of the connection pipe 35, a through hole 87, which communicates with the air discharging path of the connection pipe 35, is formed. Then, on the cleaner body 22, a sealed section, which airtightly surrounds a through hole 34, is formed. At the same time, a check valve 33, which airtightly communicates the air suction path of the connection pipe 35 with the dust collecting chamber 30 in the cleaner body 22, is disposed. Then, the sealed section and the air-discharging path in the cleaner main body are made to communicated with each other.
