摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of work for separating and collecting the respective sample components developed on a gel by electrophoresis or the like. SOLUTION: In a sample component separating apparatus, a gel plate 10 subjected to electrophoresis is placed on a detection scanner 12 and the image of the developed pattern thereof is obtained. A data processing part 24 analyzes the image data and a band different from a reference sample is detected as a target part, for example, by a Differential Display method. The data processing part 24 drives a moving mechanism consisting of an arm 16, a shaft 18 and a mechanism for displacing a sampling head 14 to move the sampling head 14 to the target part. A head chip is mounted on the lower end of the sampling head 14 and, when the sampling head 14 is allowed to fall, the leading end opening of the head chip is engaged into the gel plate 10 to cut and take out the target. The target held to the leading end opening is discharged to the tube of a tube stand 22 by moving the sampling head 14.
