<p>A combination made of a composite material (10) having a substantially continuous web portion impregnated with a binder composition. The web portion of the composite material is made of a particulate, matrix-forming material (12), preferably a natural or synthetic fibrous material. The binder composition binds the particulate, matrix-forming material in the web and imparts water resistance and other desirable properties to the composite material. Preferably, the binder composition is a natural or synthetic rubber latex. The composition material has alternating ridges and grooves. The composition material is attached to at least one second layer (14) to form, for example, a sandwiched structure which is single or double faced.</p> |
