PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating compressor increased in degree of freedom for setting the volume proportion of an intake chamber to a discharge chamber in an end housing. SOLUTION: An annular section wall part 33 is provided at a space on the inner peripheral side of an outer shell part 31 in a rear housing 13. A partition member 34 is clamped and arranged between the section wall part 33 and a valve/port forming body 14. The section wall part 33 is jointed to the outer peripheral side of a rear end face 34b in an annular area in the partition member 34. The partition member 34 is jointed to the valve/port forming body 14 is an annular area shifted to the inner peripheral side from the joint area to the section wall part 33.
