PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure for incorporating a magnetic member and to surely keep a holding state of the magnet member without falling off by vibration or the like. SOLUTION: In the filter device, the holding state of the magnetic member 31 between a recessed part 23b of a protector member 23 inserted in an inner periphery side of an element assembled body 20 and an inner peripheral surface of the element assembled body 20 is surely kept regardless of the joining state of the magnetic member 31 to the recessed part 23b of the protector member 31. As a result, an oil filter 100 for internal combustion engine has a simplified structure for filtering impurities or the like incorporated in the oil and capturing fine iron powder contained in the oil by the magnetic member 31 and is improved in reliability by surely preventing the falling-off of the magnet member 31.
