PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption by providing a second displaying step, etc., for displaying a picture corresponding to picture data when the format of picture data is not that of picture data corresponding to an animation picture, so as to reduce the load of a portable information terminal. SOLUTION: A browser operating on a portable information terminal obtains picture data in a home page from a Web server through the Internet (S1). Next, picture control information constituting picture data obtained from the Web server is processed to obtain information concerning a picture (S2). Next, based on the obtained information of the picture, it is decided whether the picture is animation or not (S3). Then, the picture is decided to be animation, picture data of a first picture (TOP picture) is processed to display the picture of a first page and processing is finished (S4). When the picture is not decided to be animation on the other hand, the picture data is processed to display the picture (S5). |
