PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver a facsimile message to a destination client by means of a single modem by providing a server for distributing the facsimile message to a client specified from a telephone number recognized by the modem. SOLUTION: This system comprises a facsimile machine 3, a server 2 connected to the machine 3 for distributing a facsimile message and each client 4 connected on the same network 1 as the server 2 for receiving the facsimile message from the server 2. The facsimile message received by the machine 3 is temporarily stored on the server 2 and then distributed to the clients 4. Then, a single modem capable of transmitting and receiving from a plurality of telephone numbers through one line in the machine 3 judges as which telephone number the facsimile message call-incomes and the server 2 receives the facsimile message and the telephone number received by the machine 3 are received by the server 2 to distribute the facsimile message to the client 4 corresponding to the telephone number.
