PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery negative electrode plate and offer its manufacturing method whereby a powder of hydrogen storage alloy is secured solidly to a core material without using any organic binder. SOLUTION: Metal lath is used as a core material 3 in plate form provided with a number of through holes 2, and a powder 4 of hydrogen storage alloy is secured by current-feed pressure rolling to both surfaces of core material 3 consisting of metal lath, and thereby a secondary battery negative electrode plate 1 is formed. Accordingly each edge member of through hole 2 opened rhombically bites into the alloy powder 4 to cause holding in such a condition as surrounding the powder 4 in rhombic form, so that the powder 4 is secured fast to the two surfaces of the core material 3 even with no use of any organic binder. |
