PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a spool shaft while precisely securing the strength thereof to improve fishing operation, especially the casting function of a device in a biaxial fishing reel. SOLUTION: A spool shaft 4 supported by reel side plates 1 and 2 of a biaxial fishing reel is formed into a hollow pipe shape, and both terminals thereof are closed with blockages 10 to improve the supporting accuracy and bearing strength by enlarging the diameter of the spool shaft, and to lighten the reel.
